Nice fun facts about trampolines and trampoline jumping

A trampoline that is used for competition purposes has a rectangular jumping space of 4.26 meter at 2.13 meter (this is the white part on which is jumped). The area has been subdivided in a number of professions (by means of red lines) with a cross in the middle. This red cross ensures that the jumper can see where is middle and where he must try to exploit the impact strength of the trampoline. There are also considerable smaller trampolines which are used at other several sports.   

And there is the double-mini trampoline. One takes firstly a run-up of approximately 20-25 meters. Afterwards one does 2 or 3 jumps on the trampoline where the 2nd or 3rd is the landing on the mat. With the mini trampoline, one takes also a run-up but does one only 1 jump on the mini trampoline and lands afterwards on the mat. Moreover the mini trampoline is also used in practising gymnastics at lower levels. Trampolines for home use do not need to meet the requirements of game trampolines.
